Athlon Argos BTR Rifle Scopes for PRS, Long-Range Shooting, and Versatile Precision Use
Athlon Argos BTR rifle scopes are aimed at shooters who want to step into precision and long-range optics without moving immediately into Athlon’s premium tiers. The current Argos BTR Gen3 family is unusually broad: it includes a compact 1-8x24 SFP illuminated LPVO, 6-24x50 and 8-34x56 FFP illuminated precision models, and a 10-40x56 SFP configuration for shooters who want substantial magnification. The precision models use exposed turrets, while the 1-8x24 uses capped turrets, so the line covers very different rifles and shooting styles rather than one narrow application.
For PRS-style shooting and longer-range targets, the 6-24x50 and 8-34x56 models pair first-focal-plane MOA or MIL reticles with 30mm tubes and exposed adjustments. The 10-40x56 takes a different approach with a second-focal-plane ABLR4 MOA reticle and high magnification, while the 1-8x24 is better suited to AR-platform use where a wide field of view and fast low-power handling are more important. That range of configurations is what separates Argos BTR from the more hunting-focused Argos HMR family.
